Indian Merchants' Chamber Presents RuDiCON 2011 - Conference “Rural Energy Security through Distributed Clean Power Generation” 18-19 March 2011,Mum

Conference Delegate Invitation (complimentary)for IIPM students

The Indian Merchants’ Chamber is hosting a Mega Conference – RuDiCON 2011 on the most topical issue ‘Distributed Clean Power Generation for rural Energy security’. For this mega event IMC is collaborating with the Ministry of New Renewable Energy & Ministry of Power. The Conference will be inaugurated by Hon Dr Farooq Abdullah, Minister for New & Renewable Energy in thepresence of other Senior Ministers, industry leaders and knowledge providers.Hon. Shri Sushil Kumar Shinde, Union Minister for Power will address the valedictory function.
The concept of Renewable Energy for the rural sector visualizes a new approach to solve the problem of India’s energy shortage, thereby also arresting the migration of people from rural to urban areas. The renewable sources of energy such as solar radiation, wind and biomass are dilute, dispersed and variable in nature. These distributed sources can be tapped by using a large number of smaller distributed plants, rather than having fewer large plants. This will reduce the transmission losses and improve the availability of electricity in rural areas.

The objective of the programme is to bring together various stakeholders in non-conventional energy space so as to evolve a sustainable model for localized generation and distribution of clean power.

10 complimentary delegate passes to IIPM students each day 18th & 19th March. It is a part of the IMC training drive to expose young management students to new opportunities in the upcoming vast field of renewable energy
